Joseph is an associate attorney with Kelly & Mancini, practicing primarily with the firm’s construction and commercial litigation teams. In addition, Joseph contributes to the full range of the firm’s practice areas.
During his time with K&M, Joseph has participated in numerous construction litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters, including, but not limited to: construction, tortious interference, surety bond, and RI mechanics lien claims; highway and bridge construction disputes/issues; RI state and federal procurement disputes; and RI state and municipal contracting issues
Prior to and during law school, Joseph was employed for 15 years in the Rhode Island Department of Transportation’s Audit Section. While at RIDOT, Joseph participated in the auditing of major design and construction projects, as well as the auditing of other departmental contracting activities.
Also while in law school, Joseph interned for the Rhode Island Department of Administration Division of Legal Services, where he focused on transactional law and state procurement law, as well as land use issues and litigation.
Joseph was previously a union steward in IFPTE Local 400 for 12 years at RIDOT where he gained considerable experience in labor, employment, and personnel matters, including testifying before state legislative committees on various labor and contracting issues.
Joseph is a former NASCAR license holder and raced at various New England stockcar tracks during the years 1988-1994. During his racing career, Joseph received various NASCAR Northeast Region honors, including exclusive invitations to participate in NASCAR Speedweeks events in Daytona Beach, Florida.
