Erin A. Hockensmith

Erin is an associate attorney in the firm’s litigation department, focusing in the areas of construction litigation and surety law, government contracts, and commercial litigation. She has experience in all aspects of construction litigation and government contract claims before federal and state courts and arbitration proceedings.  She also has experience pursuing federal and state government contract claims and protests before the Government Accountability Office, Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, and the District of Columbia Contract Appeals Board, including successfully converting a termination for default to a termination for convenience, and defending size protests and appeals before the Small Business Administration Office of Hearings and Appeals for the award of multi-million dollar federal construction contracts.

Erin also has experience preparing requests for equitable adjustment and proposed change orders for government contract claims, including the interpretation of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and the Contract Disputes Act. She has drafted, reviewed, and negotiated prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and teaming and joint venture agreements. Prior to joining Kelly & Mancini, Erin practiced at several boutique commercial construction litigation, government contracts, and insurance defense firms in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
